The 138th Wall Farm Bird - a Wood Sandpiper

Tony Seagrave - Hi all yesterday at Wall Farm Saturday 9th August Tony Seagrave reported 3
Little Egrets in the morning flying into the back of the marsh also seen a
Green Sandpiper,

Pete Jordan - also saw the 3 Little Egrets in the afternoon
along with 2 Green Sandpipers and a brief view of a Wood Sandpiper.

Martin Grant - I visited in the evening at 19-00 to 21-00 with no sighting of the 3 Little
Egrets in the first hour and a half, but I did record a Hobby flying low at
the back of the marsh, 4 Snipe, a Teal, 2 Green Sandpiper, 40 Lapwing, 2
Grey Heron, a Buzzard was on a telegraph pole and on the wires were 20
Goldfinch including 18 juveniles, 4 Linnets, 2 Yellowhammers and 20 Stock
Doves. I was giving up and leaving at 20-30 and decided to have one last
check on the pool to the right of the hide where Pete had seen the 3 Little
Egrets, between the branches of a willow tree I caught a glimps of the 3
Little Egrets then 3 waders also on the marsh, 2 Green Sandpipers and the
Wood Sandpiper that Pete had seen earlier. I watched for 10 minutes until
the waders flew to the left and as I was returning to the hide to record my
observations the 3 Little Egrets flew off to the north at 20-45, look out
Wood Lane they are coming your way!!
