SUNDAY - Sunny Spells and late afternoon showers, very close and humid! The Wall continues to turn up new Waders. The Temminck Stint (photo below) is still around but today joined on the back pool by two Ruff and Green Sandpiper. All were nicely flushed when two Peregrines zoomed past making a half hearted attempt at a flying Stock Dove. Teal and Mallard, Sedge warbler and 5 Snipe. ![]()

MONDAY 18
Well the Temmick is still around and I managed some photos today. The early morning produced 4 Ruff (photo) today, 3 female and 1 male and a Greenshank. The Stint eventually appeared about 10.30 am in the same place as it was seen yesterday and the day before. This was in the area below the mint on the mud to the left of the gap through to the right hand back pool. It was chased by a Moorhen as it went left here then crossed to the the otherside of the gap. After a short while it flew across the water to the near side pool margin and out of site. I waited hoping it would make its way along the shore to the exposed area in front of the hide to the near left. My patience was rewarded and I managed some 18 photos in the next 15 minutes. The bird walked across the less muddy shore on the overhanging vegetation and even stopped to wash and preen! Good show!

Also seen today; Kingfisher, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Snipe, Sedge Warbler, Swallow, Teal, Mallard.
