Today at Wall Farm a pair of Shelduck, first noted in log book Monday. There were, 3 or 4 Sedge Warblers singing, 7 Whitethroat singing in greater numbers than in recent years, 30 Black-headed Gulls 15 nests. Swifts House Martins Swallows over the marsh and good numbers of Skylarks singing. Only 1 male Reed Bunting singing considerably down on last year. A pair of Tufted Duck, another Coot on a nest now 5 nests, Willow Tit. Thursday 13th May 2 Shelduck, Pair of Teal, 8 Tufted Duck, Sparrowhawk and Hobby diving at Skylark. Saturday 15th May Sedge Warbler, Blackcap, Whitethroat, Chifchaff, Swallow, Peregrine, Little Owl, Tufted Duck, Raven, Coal Tit, Shelduck 2.Tree Sparrow, Cormorant 4 over. |
